The 30th Anniversary: The 30th Anniversary of the Farsi Classes was held on April 28th, 2012. The trustees announced that the range of activities of PVICYCS will go through a transformation where new services will be offered to various segments of the Iranian community. The new services will be under Palos Verdes Persian Heritage Foundation.

Goals of the Proposed Persian Cultural Center

• Language and Cultural Heritage Education for Children and Youth of Persian Heritage
• Educational opportunities for families in the areas of Persian literature and arts
• Support groups for families and seniors
• Coordination of community support for development of successful individuals
• Promotion and publicity about contributions to the society by Americans of Persian Heritage
• Preservation and development of print and digital based cultural resources for our community at large
• Conduct of workshops and events to highlight the contributions of past and present prodigies of Persian Heritage

If your children are attending the Farsi classes, a graduation event honoring the students and the teachers will be held on Friday June 1. 2012 at 5:30 PM at the current location of Farsi Classes.

Fund raising to acquire a permanent location

Efforts are underway to acquire permeant place as the Persian Cultural Center. Many families and businesses have stepped forward to register their financial support by making their tax deductible donations for the acquisition of this location. We hope the new place be purchased and operational by September 1, 2012. Let your family or business also to be listed in this cooperative effort for the Persian Community Center. The Persian Community Center will offer proper space for children, youth, families and even senior citizens in our community to benefit from various professional, cultural and educational programs.

The Palos Verdes Iranian Children and Youth Cultural Society(PVICYCS) is a non-profit, non-religious, non political organization established in1 982.  The specific purpose of this corporation is to provide learning opportunities for children, youths and others interested to learn the FARSI language and the arts and cultural aspects of the Iranian Heritage. This corporation is organized exclusively for non-profit educational purposes.
